IMPORTANT!

The drum (shown as 3 in the illustration) is extremely sensitive to

dirt. Do not to touch the drum with your hands.

Replace the transfer unit in its original position in the copier.

Push down on the release lock (shown as 4 in the

illustration) and replace the transfer unit release lever into its

original position in the copier.

Turn the green transfer unit release lever to the left until it

reaches a vertical position.

Grasp the transfer unit handle (shown as 1 in the

illustration) and pull the transfer unit out towards you as far

as it will go.

Remove the jammed paper without tearing it. If the paper is

difficult to remove at all, turn the black paper feed dial

(shown as 2 in the illustration) towards you. The misfed

paper will be fed out to a location that makes it easier to

remove.

* If the paper does happen to tear, remove any loose scraps

from inside the copier.
